Cyber ​​security: Hack runs in SSM Polytechnic College

Students of SSM Polytechnic College in Tirur enthusiastically participated in the “Kerala Hack Run” event organized by Techbuyheart, showcasing their interest in cybersecurity. As the yatra, initiated from Kasaragod and headed towards Thiruvananthapuram, arrived in Tirur on February 21, 2024, Wednesday, a seminar on Digital Security and Ethical Hacking was held. Renowned cyber security expert and forensic investigator R. Dhanup led the seminar, aiming to raise awareness among students about digital security.

The yatra, inaugurated by MP Rajmohan Unnithan at LBS Engineering College, Kasaragod, on February 12, has successfully covered Kasaragod, Kannur, and Kozhikode districts. With a mission to engage with approximately 250,000 college and school students, as well as educators, about digital security, the journey seeks to enhance cyber security awareness and knowledge of information technology security. Supported by Manorama Online as the digital media partner, the yatra plans to visit around 50 colleges across five zones, traversing all 14 districts of Kerala. The final destination is set for Thiruvananthapuram on March 7.

The journey includes workshops on cyber security, expert-led discussions, live demonstrations, and interactive question and answer sessions to provide comprehensive insights into cyber safety and digital defense strategies.
